Today’s Reading … Job 35-42 and Genesis 12-15
Today, Job models for us the victory of submissive faith. When Job came into the presence of God, he was overcome, fell on his face and surrendered to the grace of God. His trials melted into the background as He was reminded of the power and promise of God.
“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. you asked ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’ Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.” Job 42:2-3.
As we conclude the book of Job, be aware of the changes in Job as He encounters God:
1. Job’s consciousness of God (Job 42:5)
2. The collapse of Job (Job 42:6)
3. The commission to serve (Job 42:7)

An encounter with God changes everything. We accept our ultimate weakness in light of His ultimate strength. It is then, in His strength that we have the desire and power to serve our faithful God and our brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray that as we encounter God over these 90 days, He will grant us the sweet perspective of submissive faith. I pray that we will respond to His call, “Trust Me,” and that we will grow form that place of power and strength.
Love to you all,
Kinsee
