Why do you think God choose one family or one people group in one tiny little corner of the earth through which to reveal His character and covenant to the world? How do their struggles, that we read about in the history in the Bible, reveal God to everyone else?
How do the diverse genres of poetry (like Psalms), letters (like Paul’s letters to the Romans), the law texts (Leviticus) and wisdom writings (like Proverbs) work together with the story line of the entire Bible? Why not just tell it all in historical form (43%) of the Bible? How do the different genres contribute to The Big Picture?
Where does the Church (big C) today fit into the Bible? Acts tells us of the beginning of the Church – made up of followers of Christ and His new covenant, but are we the same as they are? How? What is different today?
