Good Morning ~ I hope you enjoyed spending some time with the Lord praying over our journey. Now it is time to pinch your nose, step to the edge and jump! Here goes…
Last week I said it…I want to bring glory to God with my life; how I live, what I do and say. There is something about writing that down, that feels very vulnerable; that now I will be judged on my every action. Well, I am. We all are. If you are just joining our online Bible Study “Stuck”, click HERE for Week 1…it’s not too late to start…we welcome you!
This realization brings me to my knees – seeking forgiveness then overflowing gratitude for my salvation; both at the same time. It’s like 2 sides of a coin. Thankfully, there is nothing any of us can do to deserve/earn/accomplish our way to heaven.
However, we are all broken. Our world is broken.
It is part of us – sin. We don’t want to be “bad” but we are. We don’t want to let people down, but we do. We say we don’t want to live without God, but we don’t act like it… at least that is my experience.
Before something can be fixed, it has to be broken. And sometimes, a lot of times, things (and people) are so much more beautiful once they have been put back together.
I hope you will find time to watch this 7 minute video:
So, I don’t know about you, but that spoke to my heart. I love Jennie’s vulnerability, her honesty and openness. She definitely puts it out there. (I think by the end of this we will all be on a first name basis with her!)
Let’s get real. Let’s get authentic. Let’s be vulnerable with God.
I pray this week you will be changed. I pray that we would all discover our broken places. I pray we would expectantly look toward God and wait on Him as He uses them and makes us more beautiful through His grace.
Let’s Chat…
1. How did you do on week one?
2. Do you truly believe that you need God? Talk about it.
3. Romans 8 describes a war between the Spirit of life and peace and the law of sin and death. Where do you see the war play out in our culture?
BLESSED LOVE ~
Anne
