Let’s recap last week ~ “Scared” ~ Jennie Allen’s Bible Study “Stuck”
How was your week? I feel like there was so much to cover that I really don’t know where to start! Some of these topics are going to hit home more than others. Some the Holy Spirit is going to yell “WAKE UP! LISTEN! THIS IS YOU!” My prayer is that when you feel that tug, you stop. You pray, you seek, you find. Sometimes in the business that is our lives, listening is one of the hardest things to do.
When we get wrapped up in fear we stop listening. We stop seeking.
When this happens, just stop… not in fear, but in anticipation of what the Lord would have you do. Pray. I’m not talking the quick shout out to God while we try and fix things. There are definitely times for that, however, I’m saying, PRAY. Open your Bible. SEEK. TRUST. This is so much easier said than done!
I don’t usually share with you what I write in my book. Project 2 on page 85 seemed like any other project Jennie had us working through…but to me it wasn’t. I love God’s Word. I love how He brought this to mind. I pray you are encouraged by it; they are not my words but His. If you haven’t completed this project, please do. You will be so blessed and encouraged!
Sweet One~
Know you can depend on Me. There is nothing that comes to you that does not go past Me. I have begun a great work in you and you can count on Me to finish it. I know the plans I have for you, Anne, they are plans to prosper you and not that of harm; they are to give you hope and a future. Do not fear, for I am the Lord your God, the holy one of Israel. If I clothe the birds of the air and the lilies of the field who are here today and gone tomorrow how much more will I take care of you! My thoughts and ways are not yours. Trust in me with all your heart and don’t lean on the understanding you have gained from this world. Know the truth. It will set you free. Know that I love you. I sent my child, my son, to redeem you. You are mine dear one; rest in the shadow of that love and protection. I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
All my love beloved ~

This Week ~ “Overwhelmed”
Well, I could actually not write a thing and I think we could quite possibly all be on the same page! There is so much going on in my life right now and I know you feel the same. Christmas is coming (since August at Cracker Barrel), work is crazy, volunteering (do I need to elaborate?), not to mention family. We are busy!
If I am honest, sometimes I really don’t want to stop and be still, because if I stop and look at my life – it overwhelms me. Being still… it can scare me, overwhelm me… seriously!
This week, Jennie gets to the point…
What if God actually has things He wants us to do today?
But we aren’t listening. (pg. 92)
Hmmm…..makes you think! Am I so busy that I don’t hear what God has planned for me to do today? Or, do I do the everyday chores and forget He is in those too?
Is it possible we have complicated our lives until there is no room for Him and no space to hear the plans He has for us? (pg. 96)
Last week I was on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic with my hubby Mike and 6 other couples. We did mission work in orphanages, villages and at the Lily House (a home where prostitutes who want to get out of this lifestyle, can come live with their children, learn about the love of Christ and learn a skill to provide for their families). I was overwhelmed! Here are a few photos from our trip. I’ll share more next week!
Overwhelmed… it can go two ways. I can be overwhelmed with my circumstances, or overwhelmed by grace… Jesus.
Today it is Jesus… go be overwhelmed!
Let’s Talk About It:
1. Do you offer the events of your day to God or do you control your schedule?
2. What is God asking you to do that you have been ignoring?
3. What thing(s) makes you feel the most overwhelmed?
BLESSED LOVE ~
