Hello sweet friends,
Today’s Reading… Genesis 38-47
Did you love reading the story of Joseph’s life? Joseph is one of the outstanding moral characters of the Old Testament. His life is one of the most perfect illustrations in the Bible of God’s overruling providence. Sold into slavery at 17 and becoming a leader in Egypt at 30, Joseph exemplifies patience and trust in the faithfulness of God. This trust hits a crescendo in chapter 45 when Joseph is reunited with his brothers.
“Then Joseph said to his brothers, ‘Come close to me.’ When they had done so, he said, ‘I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold to Egypt!’ And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you” (Genesis 45:4-5).
Did you catch that? You sold me…God sent me.
Today I am praying that each one of us can have that perspective. Regardless of how circumstances come into our lives, it is God who is ultimately in control. His plan. His power. Let us trust Him, wherever and however He sends us.
Love to you all,
Kinsee
